What “remove AI metadata” means here

Searchers type remove AI meta and remove AI metadata when a file still carries provenance tags: Content Credentials, IPTC DigitalSourceType, generator text chunks, or camera EXIF. This home tool is the general cleaner. Other jobs have their own URLs so we do not cannibalize one page with three intents.

FAQ

Does Remove AI Meta upload my images?

No. Inspect, clean, and verify run entirely in your browser. Files stay on your device for stripping.

Will this remove Instagram AI Info or TikTok AI labels?

It can remove C2PA Content Credentials and related AI provenance metadata that some platforms read from the file. Platforms may still label media using other signals. We do not guarantee label removal. See the Instagram AI Info page for that job.

Does this remove SynthID or TrustMark?

No. SynthID and TrustMark are not ordinary EXIF or C2PA metadata. Remove AI Meta does not claim pixel-watermark or undetectable-AI removal.

What formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, and WebP. PDF, DOCX, and video are stretch goals and may arrive later.

What is the difference between AI provenance and strip-all?

AI provenance targets C2PA/Content Credentials and known AI metadata while optionally keeping camera EXIF. Strip-all removes the metadata categories we detect, including EXIF/GPS/XMP/C2PA.
